Just wondering if any one has any suggestions on how to increase milk supply, I have tried expressing after each feed, drinking aktivit, and tried more freqent feeds with bub. But nothing seems to be working. I can not swallow tablets which makes it a little hard.

Hi there,
I found that Fenugreek tea was helpful. You can also get it in a capsule, but as you have trouble swallowing them, guess the tea would be a better option. I put one teaspoon of fenugreek tea in about 1.5 cups of water in a saucepan on the stove and simmer gently for about 5 mins or so. It turns sort of a golden colour. It doesn't really taste of anything too much and I found that if I had it warm, not hot it tasted much better. So I just put a couple of ice cubes in it and then drank it. If you find it's terrible to take, you could add honey to it, but I wouldn't add sugar.
I had about 2-3 cups of this a day and I found it helped quite a bit.
Best wishes.
Oh, you find fenugreek tea in health food shops.

Heaps and heaps of water and rest.....worked a treat with me.
When I say heaps of water I mean at least 3 litres a day

Hi Katherine

Thanks for the advice I will also give this ago 3 litres is a lot of water. I guess if carry around a water bottle around with me it will make it easier.

I will let you girls know how I go

Green bean mixed with red bean cook with sugar really work for me and it can be eaten as dessert also, a lot of people said that bean stuff can increase milk supply and it works for me. You can cook it in the slow cooker if you have it or otherwise just on the stove, cook it for about 45 minutes to 1 hour on the stove depending on how much your beans are, then put some sugar on it. It tastes nice too. Good luck.
