Answer: Hi, This is a fairly common issue, but for as long as you relent and put a nappy on her for poos, then she's likely to "hold on" until you do. At 3.5 years of age she's old enough to use the toilet/potty for both wees and poos. So I'd suggest stopping the option of nappies, sit her on the toilet when she's showing signs of needing to go and sit beside her and read a story and just stay calm and fuss free. You could also sit her on the toilet with a nappy on to poo and then remove it. So that gradually she "gets" what's involved. Some kids are scared of pooing and the loss of control which is involved. Avoid her getting constipated and make sure she's drinking plenty of water and eating lots of fruit and vegetables in her diet. And you could also consider cutting a hole out of her nappy so that when she's sitting on the toilet and pooing it drops out of the nappy into the toilet. This way she has the security of wearing the nappy but the lesson is being learned of needing to sit on the toilet to poo. This is a longer process than the others but perhaps a little gentler.
