Answer: Hi, Perhaps it would help just to put the whole TT process on hold for a few weeks. This is a good strategy if there's no progress being made and a child has become anxious and fearful. By doing this there's the opportunity for them to forget and then you can make a new start in a few weeks time. Try to stay calm and not get caught up in her anxiety yourself, this is important because she'll pick up on your feelings. It may also be useful for you to check all the toilet training information on the Huggies site, there's some very comprehensive and useful tips for parents to use. And the other strategy to use could be, if she goes to daycare, to ask her carers what they can suggest in terms of individual management. They may have some ideas which they've found work in a "group" setting for all the kids. Role modelling is very powerful for this age and stage so it may help as well. Try not to worry though, every child is an individual and reacts to development stages in their own special way. Just be very matter of fact and nonchalant about this. Perhaps something has triggered her anxiety or perhaps not. Best Jane
