how can i get my 17mth old girl to sleep in the one spot in her cot and under the covers.
my daughter uses every inch of her cot every time she sleep and never stays under the covers, she kicks them off as soon as i put them over her. im afraid that when we decide to put her in a bed she will fall out!!
Answer: Hi, Some toddlers are very active when they sleep and there is little, if anything you can do about this. Any device which limits a child's mobility in a cot is potentially dangerous and needs to be avoided. If you are concerned about her getting cold, consider a sleeping bag which is not too restrictive, has not hood, fitted armholes and plenty of room for her to move in. Many parents place a mattress on the floor beside their child's bed or use bed rails when the child goes into a bed from their cot. Keeping the mattress under the bed and just pulling it out at night time does work. Bed rails are available from baby shops and large stores. Cheers Jane
