My 22 month old son is starting to head-butt things

my 22 month old son now is starting to head but things he does not do this every day he is also crys when i tell him no to things like when a dvd he watches finnishes i turn it off the other day it was for an hour this is my first child i dont know what to do

Answer: Hi, One of the difficult things for a young child to do is to express how they feel. He may not have the language to say how angry or frustrated he is. “Head-butting” and crying are two of the many ways he can let you know how he feels. The next time he behaves this way, you can say words to the effect of, “I can see you’re feeling (angry/frustrated/sad).
