My 10 year old is still in nappies

My 10 year old still wets the bed at night and is in nappies. But now has started using them to go toilet in in the day. He is even wearing them to school and going toilet in them at school.

Answer: Hi, It is important to take your son to the doctor and see if there is an underlying medical condition that needs to be addressed. Your doctor will advise you as to what you should do next. If there are no physical reasons for this behaviour, then you will probably be advised to see a psychologist (which can be partially rebated by Medicare with a doctor’s referral) to help to change the behaviour. Make the appointment today because you do not want your son to lose his self-esteem and self-confidence by having this problem. Other children will probably start to notice and this could cause social issues if not addressed. Good luck. All the best, Sally-Anne
