Grandparents caring for your kids - can it work for your family? Rss

Things have changed since your parents or your partner's parents raised children. However, having help from grandparents can really help from a financial point of view and there are obvious emotional benefits too.

What do you think?
Each of my parents have my son once a week (they are divorced) so to provide a different day care experience...and it's GREAT! He goes to day care twice a week, each grandparent once a week and I have him home once a week.

My parents love having him and have deliberately rearranged their week to accommodate him (upon their request and offering and not on my partner and I asking). They are so sad when we cancel on them for some reason. The money of day care was never an issue (my partner works in our son's day care and so we get it cheaper anyway) but it's such a positive experience to give him differing care experiences.
