DUE FEBRUARY 2010 Lock Rss

Sorry if this is a silly question, but does anyone know when you get your referral from the doctor to a hospital how long it is till you hear from the hospital?

Clare

Hi ladies,
Well the unlucky part hit me.. On tuesday night i had a really bad pain i jumped out of bed with gushes of blood and clots coming out, went to the hospital was made to wait in waiting room and bled through my pants and all it was so embarressing, i went and put theatre pants and a surfboard on in the baby's room as my partner could not go in the ladies with me and clots and more blood came i got a bed straight away and then found out we lost our baby, i knew from the start they gave me morfeen and endone for the pain which felt like contractions,
I asked to see my baby, i kept it and we are burrying it in a pot with a rose bush we bought...
It hasnt hit me yet and i know it will.
I am to scared to do it again so i am going to see if i can get my tubes tied... I cant keep going through it...
anyways good luck ladies with your babys and hope they all stick.. i was 9 1/2 weeks pretty far hey... anyways take care look after yourselves and bubs... xx

Morning girls, so sorry for the losses, nothing anyone can say will ease your pain right. I just hope you can take some time for yourself to heal and somtime in the future try again. Big Hugs.

I'm feeling funny again today, I keep getting stitches in my front pelvic area and my back is aching today. I think its the muscles stretching out but its so much earlier than with DS. I think i was about 16weeks when i first felt stretching and stuff when preg with him.
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss Rishaylas Mum. I hope you are resting and doing ok at this hard time. You were really far along, I'm so sorry.

I had my ultrasound this morning, I was so nervous as the last one I did in January was to check I had miscarried everything naturally. I was such a wreck. But everything is fine, baby in the right spot (I had convinced myself it wouldn't be), heart beat of 102bpm and you could see the heart beating pretty much the size of the whole .35cm baby. I am 6 weeks and 2 days, and due 24 February so only a days difference. I just wonder why this blessed ticker is so out! Nevermind, I know my dates. I feel better now knowing, and didn't get charged. Poor ds started crying as I was lying on the bed so he stood next to me, and I didn't really get to have much of a proper look at the baby, so it's nice having a cd of pictures to look at my bean.

Past few mornings have woken up queasy but passes with juice and toast. I've been craving cheese and tamorillo (spelling) chutney sandwiches, or egg and mayonnaise sandwiches. And yes lozwatts this pregnancy is so different than my first! I was getting really sick and throwing up by now, I couldn't handle a lot of smells, and only wanted greasy food.
So far the major difference is the fact I've officially moved myself into maternity bottoms as none of my pants or skirts fit, buttons undone and all. That is ok though, as long as this baby behaves and grows well.

Anyone elses motivation gone out the window? my house is a mess, the washing gets washed but not hung up to dry, or put away. At least I'm still cooking dinner, with my first pregnancy I couldn't stomach cooking, the smell of cooking food and just ate toast all day long.

hope everyone is staying well.

Hi ladies,

I am so sorry RishaylasMum, hope you are doing ok. My heart goes out to you x

My OB appointment has been rescheduled for Monday as the Dr got called out to do a ceasar. Bit disappointed that I have to wait a few more days, but you get that.

Can anyone tell me, at how many weeks do you have scans? I know dating is done at 6... is the next one 10, or 12 weeks? Has anyone seen the 3D scans they do? A friend of mine got one the other day, they look so awesome. I am soooooo having one of them! smile

Still feeling sick all day, worst in the mornings, through to the arvo. Nights have been ok. I hate getting up and going to work in the mornings.
Yesterday I was up at 3am to drive DH to the airport and was dry reaching all the way home. I'd had a banana on the way there, but obviously wasnt enough to stop the gagging :/

Dont think I have had any cravings yet, but have gone off a few things, onion and corn (which I usually love!) and milk makes me feel sick.

Anyway I better get to bed. Take care grin

good morning girls,

Jaynie, you can choose to have an ultrasound at 12 weeks which tests your bub for genetic disease, mostly the chances of it having downs syndrome. But you do not have to have this scan.

And the next one is called an anomoly scan, it takes a while ususally between half an hour and an hour. Its done between 18-22 weeks. They check everything from fingers and toes to the brain and blood flow through the heart. To see if everything is working the way it should be. This is also the scan you can find out the sex of your bub, hopefully if he or she isn't in a wierd position like legs crossed over one another smile

I am so excited but not motivated (i'm on here in stead of getting inthe shower) tonight i'm having a family birthday party for DS 2nd birthday and we have about 8people including another toddler and a four year old staying over as we live on the opposite side of melbourne from most of them. Tommorrow is the kids birthday party at the indoor play centre. PHEW this weekend is going to be huge. I'm glad i don't feel sick today smile

Anyway gotta go get motivated tongue have a nice weekend everyone.
been a while since i've been on here so far so good been feeling pretty good bit tired but thats all.
have another scan this tuesday making me close to 8wks .

take care all

hi Ladies, hope you are all having a nice relaxing weekend gasp) ive just pretty much sat on the sofa today as it is raining cats and dogs here in 'not' sunny Auckland.

RishaylasMum, i am so so very sorry to hear that you lost your buba (((hugs))) it is something that i really hope none of us other ladies have to go though, no one should be able to loss there buba's xxx

Nothing to report for me, was going to have a scan on friday but changed it to this coming tuesday so will be (by my dates) bang on 7weeks so fingers crossed all is ok with 'pip' as ive decided to call it gasp) DS was called 'blip' as he wasnt planned lol and he was so small wen we fast saw him at 12weeks gasp) With 'pip' i wanted a nickname which sounded the same but had its own meaning. 'pip' like a apple pip as we found out with this pregnancy soooo early, and pip to me sounds like the begining of something gasp)

Hello ladies how is everyone doing?
Well my nausea has finally kicked in the last 3 days its been hitting me at lunch time and comes in waves hopefully it only stays that way and i dont start a vomiting yuk.

Would love to have a nap during the day but with a nearly 5 year old and 8month old it gets a bit hard to even sit down for half an hour lol.

Anyhow I must get going and check dinner dear husband is starving you would think he has never been fed haha

RKA how did your scan go?

Jayne the nuchal fold scan is the next scan due and if you opt to have the scan it must be done between 11 weeks and 13.5 weeks to check the fluid amount at the back of babys neck, this is a way to test for down syndrome. They then give you a statistic of 1 - so many, and then they should ask you questions like your age, and I can't remember if they ask anything after that but it gives another statistic. With Blake it was 1 - 5000, then they asked my age and punched it in and it became 1 - 10,000 so the risk was very low. If you do get a reading that is "medium to high risk" you then discuss with your ob or lmp and they can help guide you to the amnio test if you want to take it. It all sounds pretty dramatic, but it's usually a ok! I love the 12 week scan, because it's the first time you see bubs so clearly, with the long frog like legs and baby all fits on one screen, waves and rolls around. All very, very cute!

Morning sickness, or should be called all day sickness it getting a bit heavier. Today it was from about 7am until 7pm, I just feel like I've been on a boat, and not at the point where throwing up is the option, but dry reching is indeed occuring. I'm wondering whether it will get worse, I know 8 weeks was the breaking point with Blake and I was off work for a few days because I was so sick.

The only complaint I really have is that I'm not able to sleep well, or get to sleep. It's probably to do with the now congested nose which I know will stick around until the baby is born, but I've also got a cold from Blake and it gets sore to sleep.

My craving is tamarillo chutney with cheese sandwiches! God how awful but it tastes so good LOL.

Lozwatts I hope you have a fantastic time partying up ds's birthday how lucky is he!

I think if I feel yuck again tomorrow I'll be heading to the chemist to get sea sickness bands and give them a go! And some kind of herbal immuniser I can take to help my body shake this damn cold.

How exciting that some of us are only a month away from ending the first trimester. I'm counting down, 5 weeks and 4 days until the end for me LOL I much prefer the second trimester when the sickness goes away, you are showing, everyone knows and you actually feel half decent and don't need to eat or else you'll be sick for hours.

Well that's all from me, I should really go and try sleep again. Thank you pregnancy insomnia smile

Hi everyone, my name is Melissa. Just had a dating scan done yesterday that placed me at 7 weeks today, due date 20th Feb. We have a 2.5 yo dd and a 11 month old dd (1st birthday next week!). Being so early it hasn't sunk in yet that we are expecting again but its hard not to tell people. We have told our 2 best friends only but a couple of people (inc mom!) have asked if I am pregnant! The last 10 days or so I have been extremely tired, dizzy and nauseous. I have been taking Blackmores pregnancy and breastfeeding gold. I have booked in to see the midwife next month so discuss options of a VBAC. I had an emergency c-section with my 1st dd and an unwanted elective with my 2nd dd so fingers crossed I'll be able to try for a VBAC. I only returned to work 5 weeks ago, after my 2nd lot of maternity leave (was 2 weeks pregnant when I went back last time too!), so am a bit nervous what reaction I'll get when I tell them Im pregnant again!
Well, thats a bit about me. Best wishes to all of you. Look forward to reading everyones updates!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry to hear about the angel babies, it makes me cry just thinking about it.

Welcome Melissa and congrates! Sounds like you are going to have your hands full! Great fun.

Still have m/s which I suppose is good but I do wonder sometimes, can't seem to supress it at all. Only if I kept eating 24/7 and I am not going to do that.

Really paranoid about my weight and I know I shouldn't worry, aslong as bub is healthy, but I have already put on 3kg. Maybe I am just one of those that puts on heaps of weight.

Still fitting into my normal clothes (just), although my boobs have grown and I have started leaking already. Not suprised as I am still BF DS.

Booked in for my 12 week scan, can't wait! Does anyone else have to drink 1 L of water before?? Didn't have to do that with 12 week scan with DS only at 20wk scan. Made me feel really ill. Oh well.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Tina
