Hi Ladies,

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Made DP eggs benedict for brekkie on Sunday and bought him a small gift from belly smile hehe he was stoked. I cant wait for my first mothers day smile I get teary just thinking about it.

I made my appt today for my morphology scan , 6 October. I will be a little over 19 weeks so hopefully should be able to get some good pics! Cant wait, 4 weeks to go wink Then we will know if our girl hunch was right!
I haven't felt any flutters for a week, which has started to worry me, even tho i know I was lucky to feel anything so early to start with !!

Lozwatts - I have only just started back at the gym - I waited til I was past 12 weeks cos I didn't wanna risk it.. but Im back now, doing aqua 2 x a week and spin ( taking it easy tho) once a week, I feel great, and sleep so much better. I'm trying to keep as active as I can to ensure I am fit and ready for labour.

Savannah - We are all here to support you, Hope things go well, and at least you will know bubs exact arrival date smile

Mareetina - Im definitely planning on breast-feeding, I will be shattered if I cant.. I have 4 friends that couldn't breast-feed, but my 3 sisters have all BF'd no probs hopefully it will be the same for me. Oh and your situation and mine are the same too - my older sister is pregnant with her 5th ( !!) baby.. which was planned.. they have 4 boys and have decided to have 2 more , she is 5 weeks behind me due April, and my SIL is due in May with her 2nd.. babies Galore smile

Mummy2willie - welcome! we have a lovely bunch of ladies on here for you to chat with smile

Jei - OMG you are feeling so much movement SO JEALOUS! , cant wait til bubs is moving and we can feel " outside kicks" !! well DP will be stoked cos when I feel flutters he quickly runs over and puts his hand on my belly but cant feel it hehe. I remember you saying you were going to keep the placenta this time, me too, In the Maori culture the placenta is very important - it is seen as the babys life force or essence. We will travel back to NZ as soon as we can after the birth and bury the pacenta on our family property. All the placentas of the children of our family are buried there... even mine! My parents planted a tree on top of each of our placentas, mine is an Avocado tree which is huge now and it really does mean so much to me seeing that tree everytime I go back home.

ok wow I wrote loads today, Hope everyone is well take care til next time xo

Hi everyone

Hope all is well and everyone is happy.smile

Ive started my meds, and it has started to give me a rash on my hands which sometimes hurt depending on what im doing and stings alot, especially with a couple of cat scratches on them.

Ive been feeling a bit better, still a bit down, as i would be but im getting there. ive told my partner and he is rally supportive, but at the same time a bit nervous bout everything!!

Not much else is new, jsut studying and cleaning as usaul and tryna stay positive. I feel like i want to share what has happend but just now sure how to say it, im rather embarassed and nervous all at once.

Hope is well and tummy rubs to all.

xoxo

Hi all,

I am sick of house hunting!!! I feel like I am trying to nest and will just about buy anything! Poor DH has to put up with the tears. Have also been worring about how I will cope with 2 under 2, but I know I will.

Booked my 20wk scan, won't be til we get back from a weeks hoilday (I will be closer to 21 wks), going to Fraser Island for a friends wedding.

Jen - ouch your poor hands, glad you have a understanding partner.

DS has just woken up so I had better go get him.

Trust everyone is well.

Tina

Hi all smile

I have been sooooo bored today, spending yet another day off doing housework! The weather is crap (again) and so stuck inside there is not much else to do! I just decided I would take a break, have a cuppa and catch up on Huggies grin

Savannah, I'm glad to hear you are feeling better. I would say dont worry about telling us all if you dont want to, as we will all be here for support regardless. x

Well I too have felt a couple of little flutters and taps, but they are few and far between! I try not to worry as well, as I know that it is still early and I really wasnt expecting to feel anything til around 19-20wks. So all the little things I have felt have just been a bonus!

Tasha, I think it's cute how you and your partner celebrated father's (to be) day grin I too did something for my DH, as he was away I bought him a card which I put in his bag then on Sunday morning I called him and told him it was there and to open it... I had written a little note in it as if it was from bubba, he loved it!
I too cant wait for my first Mother's Day! I remember this Mothers Day being all upset because it would have been my first Mothers Day if we hadnt lost previous bub, and we had been trying again for so long and still hadnt gotten preg..... And as it turns out it was only a week or two later that we conceived!

I think I might go do some shopping this afternoon. Still havnt bought much baby stuff. I think after we know the sex of bub then there will be no stopping me! I also want to get the baby's room done (painted and carpeted) before I buy too much stuff. God bless MIL and SIL as they have offered to do the painting for me. I really want to do it myself, as I painted the rest of our house and am very particular about it, but I am not too sure how safe it is. Also have no idea about colours - guess I better start thinking about it as they want to start in a few weeks! Any ideas? I am thinking a neutral colour that will suit either sex. Also the room is quite dark, so needs to be a bright/light colour.

I am going to end my post now as when I type the screen keeps flicking up to the top of my post so I cant see what I am typing and it is REALLY annoying!

Take care everyone xo

House hunting at this time - rather you than me Mareetina!!! Its stressful enough at the best of times let alone when pregnant! Good luck with it and hopefully you find something soon.

Lozwatts I go to the gym about twice a week. I've been going since DD was 6 months old. I have eased off a lot since becoming pregnant this time but am hoping to still continue to go until a bit further on in the pregnancy. Then I'm planning to put my membership on pregnant pause until after bubs is born and get back into full training then. I turn 30 next September and my goal is to be back looking fit and trim by my 30th so that will give me a good 7 months after bub is born to get my body back. I really enjoy going to the gym, its my bit of me time and it always makes me feel better after I've finished a session.

Sorry I can't remember who was asking about the breastfeeding but I am planning on breastfeeding for as long as I can this time around. I wasn't very successful with DD and ended up having to stop after 9 weeks. She never latched on properly and I was in constant pain all the time, plus she had terrible reflux and I was always trying to eliminate this thing or that thing from my diet trying to work out what was making her chuck. Of course nothing I was eating was causing it and she grew out of it around 7 months of age. I guess I'm addressing this mainly to the first time mum's on here, just go with the flow and don't put too much pressure on yourself. If you can do it then great because its a wonderful thing for both you and bub but if you can't for whatever reason then don't beat yourself up about it. You have to do what is best for you and your baby and if thats bottle feeding then so be it. I was filled with so much guilt for ages after having to give up the breast feeding but at the end of the day it really doesn't matter, I still bonded with my daughter and she is every bit as healthy as children I know who were breastfed for a whole year.

Anyway I've written a novel, hope everyone is having a relaxing afternoon.
Hi,

I'm due Feb 15 2010 also, if you want to add me to the list also.
