Hi Everyone
I know its been a very long time since ive been on here and replied to everyone's conversation but thought id catch up now on whats been happening.
We welcomed Tyler James into the world on 19th October at 5:34am weighing 8 pound 8 ounces with a length of 52 cms and hc of 37cms.
Was very quick labour. When i got to the hospital i was already 6 cms dilated. All up was only in labour for 4 and half hours which im definayely not compalining about after being in labour with my first son for 15 hours.
Tyler is a very good baby he just sleeps lots and loves the bottle. Aden is such a great big brother and loves Tyler to pieces he is always kissing and cuddling him its gorgeous to watch

Nel-Shailer Park, son Aden 14.2.07

Hello ladies - every time I've sat down to update my birth status something's distracted me!

Our little man was 3 weeks early and nearly didn't make October at all! Samuel William Darcy was born at 7.50am on Sunday, October 4, weighing 3160 (6lb 9oz), 47cm long, 35cm head, and only a 4 hour labour.

He was a big shock because I had worked at the Deni Ute Muster that day and was very much intact and told everyone I was determined to see Powderfinger at the concert that night, and had spent the evening with the girls feeling how active he was (so much for quietening down pre-birth!).

I did get to see Powderfinger, but we had only been home from the concert for 1.5hrs before my waters broke. Lucily we were at my parents place already (I'd packed for 2 weeks of the school holdiays becuase mum was giving me 2 weeks R&R pre-baby ... I got 1/2 a day!lol) so it was only a 10min trip to town for hospital rather than an hour's drive.

Everyone joked about me having a baby that night becuase DH has pulled an all nighter at my little bro's birthday on the Friday night so hadn't slept for 2 days knowing we had mum to look after girls on Sunday so he could sleep - that didn't happen! Luckily the champion midwife we had took one look at DHs eyes when we arrived and put him in the Drs bed in maternity before she'd even put the CTG machine on me saying "look at you, go to bed, we'll need you in a couple of hours" ...

And after 2 big girls I had to go and buy new clothes for Sam - not because he's a boy but we didn't have anything small enough for him! The girls didn't really wear 4 0s, and Sam was into 5 0s!?!

Congrats to all on their bundles of joy! Hope everyone's boobs are coping with the sucking attention and there's not too many injuries to recvoer from !?!

Isobel 19/7/06 Molly 14/2/08 Sam 4/10/09

Congratulations Kaysie on Ayden, sorry to hear about the 3rd degree tear, I had one on an episiotomy with my first (Samuel) and it was a long time before I recovered. Hope you recover quicker than I did. P.S. If our DD had of been a boy she was going to be named Aiden David!

Congratulations Binki82 on Emily, what a lovely name, and Nel85 on the arrival of Tyler.

Congrats to Isobel's Mum on the birth of Samuel 00000's huh! Wow, none of my 4 have ever fit into 4 or 5 O's!!!

Best wishes to everyone, am looking forward to seeing an updated birth list!

Take care,
Jacqueline.

Hey ladies don't forget to come join us over in the baby forum in the thread when was you baby born?

Hey all,

Sorry havent been on for ages either!

We had a beautiful baby boy on the 13th Oct at 4.17pm 8lb8 and 51.5cms. Aiden David, so cute!

Nightmare, prosterior labour that ended in forceps and lots of bruises for Aiden and episiotomy for me but after few unsettled weeks we are all getting much better now smile

Hope all well any enjoying bubs,

Bel

Hi Bel,
Congratulations and well done, sounds exactly like my 1st labour/birth, not nice but worth the effort.

Just had to tell you that my heart stopped when I heard what you named your precious son, we had that name picked out for the last 4 years and ended up with 2 girls instead!!!

Our family is now complete with 2 boys and 2 girls and we certainly don't plan on having any more but if we did (our baby Annalisa who was born on the 19th was a surprise) and it was a boy we'd still use that name!

Anyway, take care and rest as much as possible. Feel free to add me to facebook if you use it.

Hi all and Congratulations on all the arrivals... My little girl arrived 5days late after being induced due to pre-eclampsia on October 29th weighing 7.2lbs 53cm lng. We named her Lily Christine... First 3 weeks has gone well... just having a few probs with milk level...any suggestions for increasing milk suppy?

Hope everyone is doing well...

Alicia
Congratulations Bump#4 on the arrival of Bliss, and to Alicia on the arrival of Lily, we are all so blessed with our princesses!
A booklet the hospital gave me for increasing milk supply says to feed more often, make sure she attaches properly so correct drainage takes place, relax & breathe deeply to help your 'let down', allow bub to decide how long to feed for, especially from first breast, offer each breast 2ce each feed i.e. 1st breast, 2nd breast, then short break for nappy change and cuddle, then 1st breast, 2nd breast again.
You can also express a little between feeds. Remember milk production is by supply/demand, if you need to increase then you need to use more.
Hope this helps & good luck.

Hi Alicia (Kyarndre)

I recently started drinking Weleda nursing tea and it has helped sooo much! I didn't really think it was going to work but it has!

I was given this recipe for Lactation Cookies but I haven't tried them yet! Apparently you have a couple for afternoon tea and it gives you a boost for the evening when your prolactin??? levels are low! Not sure if they will work but they sound good anyway!

Miracle Milk producing Cookies or Lactation Cookies

* 1 cup butter or marg
* 1 cup sugar
* 1 cup brown sugar
* 4 tablespoons water
* 2 tablespoons flaxseed meal*
* 2 large eggs
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 2 cups flour
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 3 cups oats, thick cut if you can get them
* 1 cup or more chocolate chips
* 2 tablespoons of brewers yeast* (be generous)

Preheat oven at 180 degrees C. Mix together 2 tablespoons of flaxseed meal and water, set aside for 3-5 minutes. Cream (beat well) margarine and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mix well. Stir flaxseed mixture and add with vanilla to the margarine mix. Beat until blended. Sift together dry ingredients, except oats and chips. Add to margarine mixture. Stir in oats then chips. Scoop or drop onto baking sheet, preferably lined with parchment or silpat. The dough is a little crumbly, so it helps to use a scoop.

Bake 8-12 minutes, depending on size of cookies.

Serves: 6 dozen cookies
