Answer: HI, Implantation bleeding is generally lighter than a true period and it happens around 3 weeks after the first day of the last normal period. So if you are bleeding now it would be early for an implantation bleed. I suggest you speak with your GP if you are concerned and also to make sure you are covered by your contraception. You may need to use barrier methods, eg condoms until you are confident you are safe. Cheers Jane
