Huggies donation to Children's Hospitals in 2013

In 2013, the Huggies® Brand donated $100,000 to Children's Hospitals, our "hug" to the sick babies and toddlers in the five major Children's Hospitals throughout Australia. This donation helped to fund high priority pieces of equipment for sick babies and toddlers including

Huggies® donation purchased a Babytherm and six parent sleeper chairs for The Royal Children's Hospital in Queensland. The Babytherm for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit kept the temperature of over 85 seriously ill babies last year.

Huggies® donation purchased a Giraffe Warmer for Princes Margaret Hospital for Children in Western Australia. This Warmer is used for 75% of all sick or small babies admitted into the neonatal intensive care unit.

Huggies® donation purchased an Infant Bronchoscope for the Sydney Children's Hospital in New South Wales. The Bronchoscope is used primarily on infants with cystic fibrosis, cancer, or in the Intensive Care Unit for children who are unable to come off a ventilator.

Huggies® donation sponsored a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Cot for the Royal Children's Hospital in Victoria, situated in the neonatal ICU where the pre-term babies are kept. 700 babies present to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit each year, with over 25 babies using the cot which Huggies® funds sponsored.

Huggies® donation purchased 28 Newborn Bassinets for the Women's and Children's Hospital in South Australia. These bassinets provided a safer resting place for 370 babies during 2013.
